Delicious Slow Cooker Recipes For Autumn!
As the temperature drops and we pack away our summer clothes, there’s nothing better than a hearty, hot meal in the evenings to warm the soul. If there’s anything you invest in this year, let it be a slow cooker. You will thank us later when you realise how easy it makes dinner time! These are some of our favourites that we think everyone needs to try.
Traditional Beef Stew
The ultimate hearty winter meal – rich, filling and deliciously tender, you can’t beat a good beef stew. You can add any vegetables you like, our favourites are button mushrooms and carrots (and lots and lots of onion). The longer you leave it cooking, the more tender the beef will be! Try the recipe here.
Butter Chicken
This classic Indian dish will be a favourite among children and adults, as it’s one of the milder curries yet is bursting with flavour. Instead of spending a fortune on a takeaway, put the chicken in marinade in the morning and leave for as long as you can. Then stick it in the slow cooker for an hour in the evening and you’re good to go! Try this Gordon Ramsay recipe.
Paella
You don’t have to be a Spanish native to perfect this traditional cuisine – with a slow cooker it’s super easy. This recipe from Delish requires almost no effort at all, you simply pre-cook the meat and then add it to the slow cooker with all the other ingredients. In less than 2 hours you’ll have a delicious paella dish for the whole family! This one is super easy and tasty.
Moroccan Stew
This deliciously spiced stew would be perfect for your no-meat Monday dinner that is super filling and healthy! You could even swap the butternut squash for sweet potato if you prefer, or add meat if you want to bulk it out even more (although it really doesn’t need it at all!). The blend of Moroccan spices and tomato really brightens up a cold, dull evening and transports you to somewhere far more exotic. Try this recipe.
